March 18, 2017 10:59 PM

(ABC 6 News) – Nearly 50 students from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine learned where they will continue their medical careers Friday.

While the 41 students had a choice of where they wanted to go for their residency, that may not be where they end up.

For student Breanne Kluck, Friday’s announcement was not only about her future, but her family's.

"I woke up, and ended up going out for a walk and just trying to find some piece in the midst of the craziness, and my husband and I are both looking forward to knowing where we are going to be moving soon since he is a big part of this, too," said Kluck.

During the ceremony students were called up one by one, And at exactly noon, they had the chance to open up their envelopes, revealing where they were matched.

For Tony Blankers, his next stop is southern Idaho.

"I really enjoyed my interview out there, I really like the program director, and I think it’s going to be a good fit,” Blankers said.

With a day filled with words like ‘faith’ and ‘dreams,’ it’s no surprise the room was also filled with tears of joy.
