(ABC 6 News) -- Rochester Police arrested a man at gunpoint after he allegedly burglarized an apartment in southeast Rochester.

According to Captain John Sherwin, police responded to a report of a "burglary in progress" at an apartment on the 1100 block of 5th Ave. SE around 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 15. The caller said she and her boyfriend were asleep and woke up to a knock at the door. She told authorities she answered the door and a man on the other side said his car had been stolen and he was there looking for the guy who stole it. When he asked if she was alone, the woman told police she lied and said "yes". The woman said he then asked if he could come in and lie down. Captain Sherwin said she said "no" and shut the door.

Captain Sherwin said the man allegedly kicked open the door and entered the apartment. He said the woman was able to lock herself and her boyfriend in the bedroom and call 911.

When police arrived they found 20-year-old Nelso Guilloty of Rochester inside the apartment. Captain Sherwin said a video game console had been moved and was found in a backpack. Guilloty was arrested at gunpoint, said Captain Sherwin, and taken into custody at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center.

Guilloty faces a first-degree burglary charge and a felony controlled substance charge after officers said they found 40 Xanax pills on him, that he did not have a prescription for.
