Police Investigating Home Burglary in Austin

(ABC 6 News) - Police are investigating a home burglary on the 200 block of 5th Ave. NE in Austin.

According to the Austin Police Department, the homeowner believes the burglary happened sometime between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday when they were not home.

The homeowner told police they came home to find the back door forced open and several items including a purse, passport, money, 50-inch television and several pairs of shoes missing.

A neighbor did report seeing teenagers on bikes in the area, but police said it's unknown if they were involved in the incident.

The case is still under investigation.
