VIDEO: Plainview Tornado

(ABC 6 News) -- A tornado was spotted along Highway 42 near Plainview Wednesday afternoon.

A viewer tells us the tornado traveled for several miles before dropping to the ground.  Residents in Plainview report damage near the trailer court, along with downed trees and batting cages toppled over at the baseball field.

Several residents said that they did not hear any sirens go off prior to the tornado.  Wabasha County Emergency Management Director Brenda Tomlinson tells ABC 6 News that they are still assessing the situation, but at this point, it appears that the tornado dropped out of the sky with no advanced warning.
