(ABC 6 News) - The water boil advisory for Ostrander has been lifted by the Minnesota Health Department and the City of Ostrander. The announcement was made by Fillmore County Sheriff Tom Kaase just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

As we've reported residents of Ostrander, who are on the city's water system, were told to boil their water after the city's main well froze-up. The city switched over to a back-up well, but Sheriff Kaase said it hadn't been used for several years.

Ostrander Mayor, Pat Nesler, told ABC 6 News the heater at the main well-head had stopped working.
