So far, about 26,000 boxes are ready to be shipped off for kids up to 14 years old.

Gwen Carlson, the program coordinator says for some children it's the first time they have ever received a gift.

"For some of these children from needy countries, that are suffering from war and poverty and natural disasters, that brings them hope and they know that someone around the world loves them," said Carlson.

Monday is the last day to drop off a shoebox at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Northwest Rochester.

They will be taking them from 10a.m.till 6 p.m.
