(ABC 6 News) -- A fixture on the Austin skyline for more than 100 years is officially gone.
The Municipal Power Plant on Fourth Avenue NE was built in 1888. After 130 years it has been torn down to make way for the city's new recreation center.
Demolition began in January and the last parts of the main power plant building came down over the past few days.
They hope to have the site ready for construction by June.
