(ABC 6 News) - One man is in custody following a threat over chicken at Hy-Vee Barlow Plaza last Thursday.

An investigation led to the arrest of Tyson Darren Leyden of Rochester, said Olmsted County Captain Scott Behrns.

Leyden allegedly threatened to shoot Hy-Vee employees because they were out of chicken. You can read more about the original threat, by clicking here

The investigation was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office due to a conflict of interest.

“One of the victims has a family member on the police department,” said Behrns.

According to Behrns, numerous people were interviewed and surveillance video led officers to Leyden. Leyden was arrested Monday after being asked to come to the Olmsted County Law Enforcement Center, Behrns said.

Leyden is charged with one felony count of threats of violence.
