Jesse Kasel, the school resource officer says Kasson Police is getting away from the usual active shooter training because it's been shown to be too predictable.

“And our hope is when threats come, when they know that our schools are prepared for this, that they don't choose to try and attack our schools when they know we have measures in place," said Kasel.

Kasson Police also say they plan to have similar training and information meetings in the near future to educate churches and businesses on what do in case of an active shooter.
