(ABC 6 News)-A Rochester ice cream shop is giving back to a local elementary school in a sweet way.

On Tuesday only Flapdoodles homemade ice cream shop is raising money for students at Gibbs Elementary School.

25 percent of all sales will go to the school’s PTA fundraiser, which funds field trips and other activities for kids throughout the year.

Just last week, they raised over $300 for John Adams Middle School and co-owner of Flapdoodles, Vicki Tierney said they hope to raise more this time around.

“The schools and our children are a great resource in our community and there aren’t a lot of better things to support than that,” said Tierney.

The fundraiser will go on until 10 p.m. at the 22nd Avenue NW location in Rochester.
