Hundreds of Motorcyclists Take Part in 6th Annual Hero's Ride

(ABC 6 News) -- Hundreds of motorcyclists made their way through the rolling hills of Southeast Minnesota for the 6th Annual Hero’s Ride. The roaring and rumbling of motorcycles could be heard all over as these bikers rode to support local veterans.

The event raised money for the Rochester VFW Post 1215, the local Disabled Veterans Chapter #28 and POW/MIA Veterans but organizers say Saturday's trip meant so much more than getting on their motorcycles for a ride, “Today we had our Hero’s Ride to remember fallen military and fallen law enforcement since 9/11. We have four families with us today that each has a son on the back of our shirts. They’ve made a sacrifice. They gave their lives for our country, or with law enforcement, they gave their lives for the safety of the public and we can’t forget that.”  said Craig Ugland, Hero’s Ride road captain.
