St. Ansgar Man Killed in Highway 52 Crash

(ABC 6 News) -- A north Iowa man is dead after a crash on Highway 52 Friday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a car being driven by 22-year-old Jacob Nelson, of St. Ansgar, IA, failed to yield at a median sign while crossing Highway 52 at Highway 57 north of Zumbrota.  The car pulled out in front of a semi truck traveling north on Highway 52.

22-year-old Cody William Lloyd Squier, of St. Ansgar, IA, was killed.  The car's driver was injured but is expected to recover, according to the crash report.

The semi truck driver was not hurt.

The most recent data from Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths shows 205 people have died on Minnesota roads so far in 2017.
