(ABC 6 News) -- A benefit is planned to help the family of a Hayfield boy who died over the weekend.
10-year-old Anthony Reid was found unresponsive in his bed Sunday morning. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death, but authorities believe he died of natural causes.
A benefit for his mom and brother is being held at the Hayfield Fire Hall on Saturday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m.
It is being put together by Anthony's Cub Scoutmaster.
"Ya know he was a very nice kid. Very energetic. He was a pleasure to be around," Brian Lee said. "It was heartbreaking. I mean no one likes to lose a member of their pack. We all took it very hard. He was a great kid."
You can also make donations at Citizen's State Bank locations in Hayfield, Dodge Center and Mantorville.
