Kasson Gymnast Dreams of Summer Olympics

(ABC 6 NEWS) - One Kasson gymnast has dreams to represent the United States in the summer Olympics one day.

At 2 years old, Ambra Andrist stepped onto a gymnastics matte at KAATS gymnastics and hasn't looked back.Now, 9 years old Andrist is competing on a much bigger stage

Andrist attended her first National Championship in Tennessee this past summer.

She didn't just do really well; she beat out all her competitors in the ages 9 through 16 brackets.

She took home an All-American gymnast award, the highest honor other than an Olympic medal.

"Some people get really nervous when they do it so just don’t be nervous just do what you do and go for it,” said Andrist.

Next year and her team will compete in Tampa, Florida against every all American team in the United States.
