(ABC 6 News) - The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office has identified the person involved in a fatal accident early Wednesday morning on Hwy 18 as 49-year-old Darick Woolridge of Harrison, AR.
The sheriff's office said Woolridge was parked on the right side of the road and made a left turn directly into the path of an eastbound semi.
Woolridge was pronounced dead at the scene, the driver of the semi was not injured.
The accident still remains under investigation.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office, one person has died after a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 18 Wednesday morning.
Deputies were called to an accident on Hwy 18 at the 186-mile marker around 1:28 a.m. where they found a Chervrolet Impala and a Kenworth Semi in the median.
According to the sheriff's office, the driver of the Impala sustained life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.
The names of those involved have not been released at this time.
