(ABC 6 News) -- A California developer is proposing three new Rochester projects slated to go up as part of Destination Medical Center.

DMC Executive Director, Lisa Clarke heard about the projects getting announced through us.

"We have had early conversations with EKN about their interest in the Rochester market so I’m very happy to hear that they're interested in doing projects in Rochester,” said Clarke.

Rochester City Council President, Randy Staver says the city has also had talks with the developer, “One we hear about is remodeling, a renovation of the current Holiday Inn on South Broadway."

"We’re hearing about the second project on second street southwest across from Saint Marys,” added Staver. "And we're unaware of exactly where the third project might be."

DMC says there have been conversations but the developer hasn't submitted any applications as of yet.

"The parcels that the ENK developer are looking at are within the DMC district. They have not however brought forward any proposal for funding or anything like that with the DMC district,” said Clarke.

The same goes for the city, but Rochester City Council President Randy Staver says it's not unusual.

"When they begin the city process, certain fees are involved. Planning and permit and so forth so I’m sure that the developer, in this case, is doing due diligence before they bring the projects forward,” said Staver.

The projects are currently listed on the EKN Development Group website. We reached out to the company several times Wednesday but did not hear back.

The projects have not been given the green light yet, but DMC and the City say they look forward to conversations with the developer.

"I’m just thrilled that we hear constantly of national, international, local, regional, statewide developers interested in the Rochester market. This confirms that we are a hot market and the place to be,” said Clarke.

This same developer is already working on a project involving a 259 room hotel on Civic Center Drive.
