Veteran Traveling Across the Country to Thank Others For Their Service

(ABC 6 News) -- A Vietnam Veteran from Washington State is traveling across the country to honor his fellow veterans.

Bob Brock is traveling to Washington, D.C. to participate it the Memorial Day Parade, and making quite a few stops along the way, including one in Rochester on Friday.

"My mission is to come across the country and travel to as many VFW halls, American Legion sites, wherever the veterans are and thank them personally for the service to their country," he said.

Brock said he also plans to try to visit a few military bases along the way.
