The victim told police he got out of his car to ask the other driver "if there was a problem," then returned to his car and left the scene.

According to police, the victim said the suspect then followed in his vehicle and pointed a black medium-sized handgun at him.

The victim told police he continued to drive away from the suspect vehicle.

Later in the evening, the victim called police when he spotted the suspect vehicle at a convenience store.

Police arrested 20-year-old Benjamin Lerum.

Police said Lerum denied pointing a gun at the victim but police found some evidence in the vehicle to substantiate the victims claim, however they did not find a gun.

Lerum is potentially facing the charge of 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
