(ABC 6 News)-- It’s been just over a month since Chris Fischer died after collapsing on the football field.

The coroner’s report states Chris died from probable heritable arrhythmia syndrome.

On August 22, Chris suffered a medical emergency during football practice in Austin and was taken to the hospital. He died on September second after spending more than a week in the pediatric ICU at Mayo Clinic.

There are different kinds of arrhythmias, but according to the American Heart Association, in general, an arrhythmia is an abnormal heart rhythm.

According to his Caring Bridge site, Chris's parents were told he had a rare condition and there was nothing that would have warned them about it ahead of time.
