4 Austin Teens Facing Charges for Car Break-Ins

(ABC 6 News) - Four teenagers are facing charges after a series of car break-ins in Austin.

According to the Austin Police Department, officers were called to the parking lot at the Austin Eagles Club on 11th Street NE around 6:30 Friday night for a report of a group of kids rummaging through cars.

Officers apprehended four boys ranging from 14 to 15 years old.  Officers also recovered cash, coins, sunglasses, car keys and a knife from the group.

Three of the boys were turned over to their parents.  A 14-year-old boy who was already on probation was taken to a juvenile detention center in Rochester.
