The Bruins players wore special red, white and blue jerseys for Saturday's game, which were auctioned off with the proceeds going to local veterans' causes.

"We have obviously a lot of veterans in the Austin area and of course we want to pay tribute to them and our active servicemembers as well that give the ultimate sacrifice so we can have our freedoms," Bruins media relations director Michael Kelley said.

The Bruins won the game by a score of 3 over Coulee Region with a score of 2.

ABC 6 News is a proud sponsor of the Bruins' military appreciation night.
