(KSTP) -- The Anoka County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a man it believes is a "clear danger to the public."

The incident is believed to have started with a road rage incident Friday night in Ham Lake, when the alleged victim had to suddenly brake his vehicle to avoid a traffic situation, according to a social media post by the sheriff's office.

Both the alleged victim and suspect were driving near Broadway and Lexington avenues and continued onto westbound Crosstown avenue, the suspect vehicle driving aggressively and taunting the alleged victim along the way, according to the post. The alleged victim told the sheriff's office he believed the suspect eventually backed off, so he drove to his East Bethel Home, arriving about 8. p.m.

That's when the suspect attacked him, beating him repeatedly in the face for about a minute, he told authorities. The suspect reportedly asked if the alleged victim "had enough." The alleged victim, who asked to not be identified, has multiple cuts and fractures, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect is described as a white male standing at least 6 feet tall with short or possibly buzzed hair, approximately 35 years old. It's believed he was wearing a longer leather coat, and likely had injuries to his hands. The vehicle the suspect was driving is described as a newer, dark silver/gray with LED headlights with a line of LED lights below and dark tinted windows, possibly a Ford Mustang or similar car.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office believes there may be people who know what happened and is asking for anyone with information to call 763-427-1212 or submit an anonymous tip online.
