(ABC 6 News) -- Mayo Clinic Health Systems is welcoming a new regional vice president during a tumultuous time for community care.

Recently Mayo announced it would consolidate inpatient services, moving some from Albert Lea to Austin.

Those include intensive care, childbirth and major surgeries.

On Wednesday Dr. Annie Sadosty was named the new regional vice president for Mayo Clinic Health System Southeast Minnesota region.

During a conference call on Thursday, she spoke with ABC 6 about her future in the position.

"I believe in being honest and having integrity and being transparent when transparency is appropriate and. Those are my core values," said Dr. Sadosty.  "You can be certain that my vision will be patient centered and with that part of my roll will be to insure that mayo clinic health system is there for our patients in perpetuity."

The vice president of Mayo Clinic, Bobbie Gostout, M.D., says she accepted a meeting request with the Freeborn County Board of Commissioners.

However, it's still unclear if Dr. Sadosty will also be going.
