Dr. Annie Sadosty Speaks about Albert Lea Consolidation

(ABC 6 NEWS) - During the 2017 Transform Conference put on by Mayo's Innovation Center, Dr. Annie Sadosty spoke about the consolidation plan for Mayo Clinic Health Systems, moving some services from Albert Lea to Austin.

She clarified what she says are rumors circulating, that the facility in Albert Lea will be closing.  Inpatient surgeries, the intensive care unit along with labor and delivery services will all be moving to the Austin facility.  Psychiatric services in Austin will be moved to Albert Lea. 


The emergency departments and outpatient surgeries will remain open at both facilities. 

Dr. Sadosty said the plan to move services is in response to the changing health care landscape.
