(ABC 6 News) – Three local men, including a part-time police officer, were arrested on Thursday during an undercover prostitution sting in Rochester.

Capt. John Sherwin with the Rochester Police Department says the first man was taken into custody around 10 a.m. He says Gary Stittgen from Rochester initially tried to jump off a 2 story balcony and broke his ankle as he tried to get away.  An ambulance was called and he was then taken to Saint Marys Hospital.

Rolando Hermoso from Owatonna was the second man arrested around 12:30 p.m.

The third man arrested is a part-time police officer in St. Charles. Jeremy Newton, from Byron, was taken in last night and has since been put on administrative leave. 

All three men were booked but later released.

They are facing charges of hiring a prostitute in a public place.
