(ABC 6 News) -- On Saturday, December 30th, the Clear Lake Fire Department was called to a report of a fire at the 900 block of 7th Avenue North.  Firefighters said the incident took place around 4:10 a.m.  The Clear Lake Police Department arrived first at the scene and said there was heavy smoke showing from the roofline.  Firefighters said they found the fire in the entry way wall and attic of the house.  They also reported that they were able to make quick knock down of the fire, and then started overhaul making sure all hot spots were extinguished. 

It took firefighters one and half hours to contain the fire.Probable cause of the Fire is electrical failure.  There were no smoke detectors in the house.  No one was injured.  Estimated damage is over $25,000.  Clear Lake Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Clear Lake Police Department, Ventura Fire Department and Alliant Energy.
