Beautiful weather awaits you on this Sunday. Sunshine is increasing across the state and temperatures this afternoon will settle into the 60s. I do expect a northeasterly breeze to be persistent at 10-15 mph. Any clouds in the southern part of the state will continue to decrease. With clear skies and diminishing winds tonight, I am concerned about the potential for some frost. This will most likely take place across the east Metro into western Wisconsin. The winds will lighten enough in this area to allow for at least patchy frost formation. There are no advisories in place for the frost at the moment, but that may change later this afternoon.

Outlook:
I see the warming trend continuing next week as we'll be under what we call a blocking pattern. Dual areas of high pressure keep the rain and clouds away from us. This traffic jam in the atmosphere is positioned in the ideal place for Minnesota. We'll stay under mostly sunny skies, warming temperatures, and low humidity through Wednesday. I do see that area of high pressure breaking down at the end of the week. This will mean shower and thunderstorm chances will grow from Thursday through the weekend.
