Hoops for Heroes
ABC 6 News is honored to host the Hoops for Heroes Match Campaign, supporting the Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation of Southeast Minnesota. This organization will bring to the community a stunning memorial honoring those who have fallen in the line of duty. The memorial will be located at Soldiers Field in Rochester, MN, but is still in need of funding before breaking ground. ABC 6 News is proud to be donating $5,000 to the memorial, but we don't want to stop there...

We are challenging the community to match our $5,000 donation during the week of April 8th - April 15th.

Hoops for Heroes

To further raise awareness & fundraising, ABC 6 News is hosting the Hoops for Heroes basketball game featuring ABC 6 News vs. Law Enforcement officials along with other members of the community. ABC 6 News Anchors Rachel Wick and Brianna Cook will welcome guests as an emcee prior to tip off and Lourdes High School A Capella group Center Stage Singers will perform the national anthem.

Come cheer on your local community leaders and raise awareness for those who have sacrificed their lives to protect our neighborhoods!

About the Memorial

Each day, officers put their lives on the line to serve our communities. The memorial will help the community remember and honor the courageous heroes whose lives were taken in the line of duty. You will notice that the design of the memorial is very similar to the Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation of Southeast Minnesota logo. The five patches/badges represent the five levels of law enforcement; municipal, county, state, federal, and military are intertwined to represent the law enforcement family coming together during a tragedy.

You can learn more about the memorial and donate here.
