(ABC 6 News) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says three people were seriously injured Monday morning in a crash just north of Blooming Prairie.

The crash happened just before 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 218 and 138th Street SE.

Officials say a Ford Ranger was disabled in the middle of the highway, when a Lincoln Town Car struck the Ranger. Three people were seriously injured; 17-year-old Zachary Slowinski of Blooming Prairie, 28-year-old Princess Meeks of Byron and 36-year-old Shannon Irons of Dexter.

Officials say the Ranger had stopped because of a previous crash. There were no injuries in the first crash.
