(ABC 6 News) -- Organizers say it's Minnesota's longest-running festival. This was the 51st year for Rochester Greek Festival. The event brought out local foods, authentic music, and traditional Greek dance.
The Greek Orthodox Church put on the event. They say the long-running history of the festival tells it's own story.
"When the Greeks immigrated to America, this is one of the things they immediately did. They built their churches then they started sharing their culture to the community and it built a really great bond. It's really less about the food and more about us being involved in our community," said Johnny Mangouras, the food production manager.
Organizers say another mini-Greek Fest will come this winter. It will be at the University Square in Downtown Rochester.
