(ABC 6 News) -- Police have arrested a man for assaulting another man with a knife and threatening to kill two people.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office says officers responded to a domestic situation just before 11 p.m. Monday in Stewartville.

Police say 62-year-old Dale Jaszweski showed up to his adult child's house. His 14-year-old grandson and adult friend were the only two people home at the time. Jaszweski began arguing with his grandson, and the confrontation quickly escalated. At that point, the grandson's friend intervened.

Authorities tell us Jaszweski then pulled out a knife and stabbed the adult friend in the elbow. He also threatened to kill both his grandson and the friend.

Jaszweski left the home, and the victims contacted emergency officials. Police later discovered Jaszweski at a nearby gas station and arrested him. He faces charges of first-degree burglary, second and fifth-degree assault, and making terroristic threats.
