(ABC 6 News) -- An Austin man won $1 million in Saturday's Powerball drawing.

Lottery officials say Robert Shatek arrived at the Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville Monday morning with the winning ticket in hand.

He learned he was a winner Sunday morning, when he had his ticket scanned while picking up the morning newspaper. The second line on his three-line quick-pick ticket matched the first five winning numbers drawn.

Shatek purchased the winning ticket at Apollo III, located at 3011 W. Oakland Ave. in Austin.

"Oh it's wonderful!  Not very often do you hear somebody in Minnesota that actually wins," Apollo III Owner Sue Raimann said.

The winning Powerball numbers drawn on Aug. 16 were 7-8-17-48-59 and the Powerball was 9.
