(ABC 6 News) – An accident in Rochester led police to a car that was reportedly stolen.

Around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a crash where a car struck a tree at the 3900 block of Willow Ridge Drive SW. Police say there was significant damage to the vehicle and that two people were lying beside it.

Right before this crash, it was reported that a woman’s car was stolen. The car matched the description of the car in the crash. The woman said her boyfriend and another man borrowed her car keys to “go listen to music,” but then drove off with her car.

Those men have been identified as 30-year-old Bobby Booth and 34-year-old Otha Dunbar.

They were both taken to Saint Marys Hospital for their injuries, which police believe were non-life threatening.

Police say Booth was the driver and that he was under the influence of alcohol.
