Arrest Made on Attempted Copper Theft

(ABC 6 News) - One man has been arrested, while another is being sought by police, after the suspects tried to steal copper wire from a Rochester apartment complex.

Police were called to the 400 Block of 8 1/2 AVE NW at Sleepy Hollow Apartments after a woman called to report two men attempting to steal copper from the basement laundry room of the complex. The two men ran from the scene, leaving their vehicle at the complex.

Rochester Police apprehended 28-year-old Cesar Ricardo Magallon-Ramirez, who claimed to be high on a synthetic drug.

The other suspect fled on foot, but did leave his identification in the vehicle left at the apartment complex.
