(ABC 6 News) - The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce has hired Robert Miller as its new president. Miller is the former CEO of the Arizona Trade Exchange in Mesa, Arizona.

As the CEO of the Arizona Trade Exchange, Miller grew a start-up company from scratch to a 700-member enterprise generating $8 million in revenue. His track record of successful leadership in business operations also includes management of the daily operations of a $24 million food service operation within Candlestick Park in San Francisco, Calif. Miller is a native of Sheboygen, Wisconsin, who looks forward to returning to the Midwest with his family.

"It is an honor to lead an organization that works tirelessly to serve its members and the community at large," says Miller. "While I am completely committed to advancing the positive impact the Chamber has had and the great work that's being accomplished, I am equally as enthusiastic about the opportunity ahead for this vibrant and collaborative community."

Miller's hiring is the culmination of a nation-wide, six-month search for a successor to former President John Wade. Miller will officially begin his position within the next 30 days.
