CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (AP) - The Iowa State Patrol says four people including a 4-month-old baby have been injured in a two-vehicle accident.

The patrol says a car crossed the center line of U.S. Highway 18 and struck a jeep head-on Tuesday near Clear Lake. Two teenagers in the car were taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. One was listed in critical condition Tuesday evening and the other's condition is unknown.

The driver of the jeep and her infant child were taken to the same hospital. The driver was listed as in serious condition and her child's condition was listed as fair.

It's unclear what caused the wreck or if charges have been filed. Authorities are investigating the accident.
