(KSTP) -- A teenage boy was hit by a stray bullet during an officer-involved shooting in St. Paul Sunday afternoon.
The incident started at West Minnehaha Avenue and North Arundel Street around 4:30 p.m. when an undercover officer witnessed an incident.
According to St. Paul Police Sgt. Paul Paulos, an officer was shot at and police returned fire.
A bullet ricocheted off a building and hit a 14-year-old boy in the stomach as he ran away from the scene, police confirmed. The boy made it to a neighbor's yard before collapsing. The neighbor called 911.
The neighborhood has been blocked off as police determine if it is safe, police said.
