Mankato Man, Accused of Selling Deadly Synthetic Drug, Arrested Outside Chicago

(ABC 6 News) - A Mankato Man, who was the subject of a nationwide search, has been taken into custody in a suburb of Chicago. Police say Tyler Caputo was arrested by a member of the Harwood Heights Police Department in their city, which is located in Cook County, Illinois

Caputo is accused of selling a synthetic drug, known as 2C, that police say led to the deaths of Chloe Moses and Louis Folson, both of Mankato. You can watch the previous story on this case by clicking here.

Authorities had been searching for Caputo since he failed to show up for a court hearing on Friday. The warrant he was arrested on include charges of 3rd Degree Murder.

Caputo is currently being held in the Cook County Jail pending extradition.
