(ABC 6 News) -- A rare crossing of faiths took place tonight at the Rochester Community and Technical College.
Rochester Muslims are celebrating Ramadan in their community as usual but this time they invited members from the Catholic Church.
It's a tradition for Rochester Muslims to get together at RCTC's cafeteria to break their daily fast right at sunset.
This time they invited Bishop Quinn of the Winona Diocese and Father Mahon from St. John's Church in Rochester.
The group says that it wants to connect with other faiths to show a positive image of the Muslim religion and its people.
There was also a call for prayer prior to breaking their fasts.
The Rochester Muslim Community Circle organizes the event.
