(ABC 6 News) --There's furry friends in our area that need homes now more than ever.

Paws and Claws Humane Society in Rochester is at its limits for taking in cats and kittens.  They have about 85 cats ready for adoption with several foster homes filled as well.

Because of this, the shelter is now offering half off the adoption fee for cats a year of older, meaning you can bring a cat home for just $50.

"We do have a waiting list of homeless cats that need to come into our doors, but unfortunately we can't take them until we get some kitties adopted," Tanya Johnson with Paws and Claws said.

Cats up for adoption are fully vetted and have already been spayed and neutered.
