Rochester Man Accused of Robbing Local Gas Station

(ABC 6 News) - A Rochester man was arrested over the weekend after police say he robbed the Holiday Gas Station on North Broadway and 7th Street. It happened around 1:15 Saturday morning.

According to police, Ralph Hodges pumped his gas, went inside, and then demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk. Police say he never showed a weapon, but did threaten to kill the clerk’s family. Police say he got the cigarettes and between $100 and $200.

Police say the clerk was familiar with Hodges because he is a frequent customer. Hodges was later located by a Sheriff’s Deputy saw him, but wouldn't stop his vehicle. Authorities eventually using stop sticks. But police say Hodges then took off on foot before he was caught and arrested.

Hodges could face charges of aggravated robbery, terroristic threats, fleeing in a motor vehicle, fleeing on foot, and driving after revocation.
