OWATONNA, MN (AP) - The Minnesota State Patrol has released more details on that fiery crash on I-35 just south of Owatonna.
The Patrol says a semi and a car were stopped in the right northbound lane Thursday afternoon due to traffic backups. Another semi crashed into the car, which then collided with the first semi. The trucks then caught on fire, sending a plume of smoke into the sky that could be seen for miles.
However, no one was seriously hurt in the accident.
Traffic was detoured onto other roads. Southbound I-35 was reduced to one lane.
All lanes in both directions in that area are now reopened. You can see video of the accident and the aftermath by clicking here.
