(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Two Rochester men got in a heated discussion Monday night, after one of them was accused of lighting fireworks, and throwing them off the third-story balcony of his apartment, and into the parking lot.

A man from the first floor went outside, and apparently started yelling at the man to stop.

Then, the man from the third floor allegedly went downstairs to confront the man who had been yelling at him. Police say the man on the first floor had a knife, and was arrested for 2nd degree assault.

The man who was allegedly throwing the fireworks was not arrested, but police say they will be following up because lighting off this particular kind of firework is illegal.
