ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Consultants have told the board that governs Minnesota's health insurance exchange that there is a lot of work ahead to get ready for open enrollment in November.

Brian Keane of Deloitte Consulting gave the MNsure board an initial assessment Wednesday of what needs to be done to fix the troubled system.

Keane says they're still setting priorities for the most important functions that need to be ready for open enrollment.

But the consultants say the most critical functions that still need to be fully computerized include handling people whose eligibility changes due to circumstances such as births, and renewing coverage for the more than 240,000 people enrolled so far in private and public insurance plans through MNsure.

The next open enrollment period begins Nov. 15.
