Police Question Three in Rochester Assault

(ABC 6 News) –  Rochester police responded to a man who had been assaulted by two others early Tuesday morning.

The 33-year-old Rochester man was found near the 4200 block of 28th Street SE.  He told police he was meeting up with some acquaintances who he had apparently owed money. When he got to the home in that area, police say he was assaulted by two people and robbed of the money in his pocket. He also indicated to police that there was a gun involved. We’re told the victim had told those two acquaintances that he had left his wallet in the car, when they checked, that’s when he ran off and called police.

Police set up a perimeter around the home, and a few hours later, three people got into a car and were spotted leaving the residence. Those three have been taken in for questioning but no one has been arrested at this time. The victim was hospitalized, likely with broken ribs  A search warrant has yet to be conducted of the home.
