(ABC 6 News) - The Freeborn County Sheriff's Department says a Blooming Prairie man was seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash over the weekend.

Albert Winter was heading south on a Harley Davidson when, according to the Sheriff's Department, he side-swiped a north bound pick-up truck that was starting to make a left hand turn.

The drive of the truck wasn't hurt, but Winter was flown to Saint Marys in Rochester with life-threatening injuries. He was listed in critical condition late Monday morning.

Thompson did not report any injuries.  Winter sustained life threatening injuries but his condition is unknown at this time.  Winter was flown by Mayo One to St Mary’s Hospital.

Authorities say they do not believe Winter was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
