(ABC 6 News) -- A member of the Rochester Tea Party wants to be the city's new mayor.
"Our principals are to hold the government accountable, smaller size government, having a voice at the table and those are things I plan to bring to my campaign," Mayoral Candidate Cindy Maves said.
Maves says she wants to be a "citizen mayor" who will take time to listen to the needs of the community. Besides her work with the tea party, Maves is also a school bus driver.
She is the second woman to file to run against incumbent Mayor Ardelle Brede. Stephanie Kilen has also thrown her hat into the race. To watch an interview with her, click on this link.
