BARABOO, Wis. (AP) - Authorities say a tree fell on a tent at Devil's Lake State Park over the weekend, killing an 11-year-old girl and injuring two others.

The Sauk County sheriff's office says three people were in the tent Sunday morning at the Ice Age Campground. Rescue officials responded about 4 a.m. and found the girl and her father trapped under the tree. A 14-year-old boy was able to climb out of the tent.

Officials freed the man and the girl from the tent. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man and boy were taken to a hospital.

The park is in Baraboo, which is about 40 miles northwest of Madison.
