(ABC 6 News) – An arrest has been made in the death of a Rochester man, who police say, overdosed on heroin.

Nicholas Miner was found dead in his southeast Rochester home early Thursday morning. Gold Cross paramedics tried to revive him but were unsuccessful.

With help from cooperative witnesses, police say they were able to make an arrest. Demetrious Deal was arrested around 10am Thursday. Rochester Police were monitoring when he left in a vehicle. They followed and arrested him during a traffic stop.

Police say Deal admitted to meeting up with Miner, but did not confess to selling him drugs.

Official charges have yet to come down, but police say he could face charges of third degree murder, third degree controlled substance and second degree controlled substance. We’ll have more information when the criminal complaint is released.
