(ABC 6 News) -- It's a remarkable story of overcoming odds.  A woman who was paralyzed at 16 years old is now living her life to the fullest.

Tasha Schuh fell through a trap door during a high school play.  She was paralyzed from the waist down and told she could never sing again.

But that didn't stop her.  This spring she sang with the Croix Chordsmen Choir in Stillwater.

Wednesday, they gave a $500 donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, a place very close to Tasha's heart.

"It just makes a huge difference because i was one of those families that was so impacted and it just, look back and i wonder how my family would have adjusted, how i would have adjusted if we didn't have this place," Schuh said.

The donation will help support families staying at Ronald McDonald House.
